Winc’s Customer Experience (CX) handle a significant volume of sales orders daily, received through various channels. One crucial aspect of the CX team's responsibilities is ensuring the accuracy of data throughout the order processing journey.
To enhance their operations, Winc partnered with SAP Australia & Beta Digital to reimagine, construct, and operationalise a suite of automations on SAP Business Technology Platform.
The primary objectives were to optimise business processes, enhance data efficiency, and reduce the workload of the CX team, thereby allowing its members to concentrate on more valuable tasks that drive higher value for the organisation.
The challenge
Winc’s corporate IT strategy is to automate and innovate where possible in a supportable, maintainable way that would improve business process and efficiency.
The problem came about when their current automation supplier was due to expire, the existing solution wasn’t working as expected, was costly to license & maintain, and was not supported by the internal team due to a knowledge gap and access to the technology.
The challenge was set as clock was ticking to either re-license or invest in SAP BTP to build and improve on our existing automations and processes.
SAP Australia and Beta Digital came together with Winc to reimagine, build and run a new set of automations that would replace and enhance the old processes with greater efficiency.
The solution
Winc & Beta Digital came together to:
Build out a secure SAP BTP Cloud foundry environment which included identity federation and a secure tunnel from their corporate IDP and network.
Create Virtual Machines based on windows Server and configured unattended bots.
Build Automations using SAP Build Process Automation on BTP integrating with business rules, Business Intelligence reports for self learning and SAP ECC for sales order management.
Create a set of reports and monitoring for the solution.
Upskill the wider team to be able to manage, support and build future solutions.

Working with Beta Digital
Through collaboration with Beta Digital, we successfully replaced an aged, out of date RPA solution, streamlining existing processes and rules. This allowed our customer teams to continue their attention to important and strategic tasks, enhancing our ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Moreover, this program has equipped us with valuable expertise and abilities to expedite Wincs’ business process enhancement initiatives, utilizing SAP RPA capabilities for future automation prospects.
